Authentic early 1900s Elgin pocket watch with a 15-jewel, hand-wound mechanical movement, dating to circa 1902–1903 (movement serial no. 10104255).
Housed in a Philadelphia Watch Case Co. gold-filled case, marked "Guaranteed 20 Years." The case shows normal age wear and patina. The back features a hand-engraved deer with antlers, done in a simple, primitive or folk-art style. This engraving was likely added by or for the original owner and gives the watch unique character not found on standard examples.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds register at 6 o'clock, with blued steel hands. A solid, honest example of an everyday American pocket watch from the golden age of U.S. watchmaking.
The watch is not currently running. It has not been tested beyond visual inspection and is being sold as-is, for repair or display. Please assume it will need professional servicing before use.
Please review photos carefully for condition.
