Antique English architectural ceramic tile produced by Minton, Hollins & Co.,
Patent Tile Works, Stoke-on-Trent, England.

This late 19th-century transfer-printed tile features a finely detailed bird
scene set among reeds and grasses, rendered in black on a cream ground. The imagery reflects the Victorian era's fascination with nature and natural history, a common theme in decorative architectural tiles of the period.

The reverse is impressed with the original Minton, Hollins & Co. Patent Tile Works mark, confirming its manufacture in Stoke-on-Trent during the period circa 1868–1875. The unfinished edges and factory grid backing indicate this tile was originally intended for architectural installation rather than as a freestanding decorative object.
