Vintage Straw Boater Hat Floral Berries Woven Raffia Velvet Pillbox The Emporium

A mid century vintage straw boater hat labeled The Emporium Studio of American Design, San Francisco, California, USA. This was a historic department store. The woven raffia hat has a small brim lined with velvet, a pillbox shape, and is embellished with brown velvet ribbon, fabric flowers, and lightweight oversized berries.
Interior has a green grosgrain ribbon band and original tag, estimated 1950s era. There is a small elastic band attached in order to hold the hat in place.

Very good vintage condition. There is one darkened place on the raffia that looks like a glue stain. A few pieces of the woven straw that show light wear. Interior and exterior ribbon show light wear. Crown of the hat has lost its shape somewhat but looks great when worn.
