Propagating Gardenias is very easy!
If you choose to root in soil, Simply dip the clipped end in rooting hormone powder & stick into a pot of soil. (you don’t NEED the powder to get roots.. but it can really help >> my first try rooting these, I did not use it..& still got roots)
After placing in soil, water generously once, cover with plastic bag or (as I do) use a 2L plastic bottle as a “greenhouse” type cover to trap humidity.
Keep soil moist/not soggy. Allow.4–6wks for roots
