This is an amazing carved shell cameo antique brooch set in a detailed filigree sterling silver frame.
The carving is made from a pale conch or helmet shell, which provides the contrasting white figure against a peachy-pink background.
The frame features intricate sterling silver with small floral accents around the bezel. Stamped “STERLING” on the back frame. The handmade C clasp dates this piece to c1890-1920.
