Antique jewelry/trinket tray quadruple silverplate repousse by Derby Silver Co.

I am selling this small, one-of-a-kind tray to hold jewelry or trinkets, made by the Derby Silver Co in Connecticut, likely in the late 19th century. It is not sterling silver but is quadruple silverplated.

Intricate and ornate floral designs have been hammered into the tray using the repousse technique popular in the Victorian era. This provides a lot of texture to the tray, which is shaped upward at the edge in an irregular scalloped pattern to keep items from rolling out. Stamped on the back "DERBY SILVER CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE 1505"

A unique and classy addition to a sitting room, dresser, or dressing table.
