Overview: Up for sale is an original color aquatint etching by listed French artist, Paul Trelade (aka Gen Paul) (1895-1975). Trelade is known for his expressive paintings, etchings, and lithographs, often depicting Parisian nightlife and street scenes, and developed a unique style with strong diagonals and a mix of abstraction and realism, making him a precursor to Abstract Expressionism. This etching is entitled "Neige, rue Cortot" and depicts a snowy street scene of rue Cortot in Montmartre in Paris. Undated, but likely dates to 1920-1925. Pencil-signed at lower right. The etching is framed under glass.
Condition: Etching appears to be in excellent condition. Frame is in very good condition.
