Vintage Mother of Pearl Inlay Jewelry Music Box Asian Lacquer Box

Beautiful vintage Asian lacquered jewelry box featuring hand-cut mother-of-pearl inlay. The detailed scene depicts traditional figures in a landscape with mountains, clouds, and trees, rendered in shimmering abalone/nacre against a black lacquer background.

This piece dates to the mid-to-late 20th century and was made for export, most likely in Korea or China. These boxes were popular as keepsake and jewelry boxes and often included a mechanical music movement.
