in Bohemia , which was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the time of production, not modern-day Austria
. Items marked "Carlsbad Austria" were produced before 1918 when the empire was dissolved, after which the marks changed to include "Czechoslovakia".

For sale is a lovely example of hand painted decorative porcelain by Carlsbad in Excellent Condition, no chips, cracks or repairs no crazing either, touch of wear to the edges of the gold trim but not the front design of the gold trim. Plate measures 9 1/2" across.
