This is a vintage 10" octagonal Japanese Imari-style octagonal plate, made of fine china in the 1950s-1960s for export markets. It features a traditional kinrande design characterized by hand-painted motifs of chrysanthemums and other flora in a vibrant palette of deep blue, iron red, orange, and gold accents on a white base.

Made in Japan by Saji, the style is inspired by the much older, imari pieces from the Meji or Edo periods. The plate is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or noticeable signs of wear.
