Concert flyer taken from a telephone pole on Telegraph Ave of an early piece of Easy Punk Rock History showing Citizen Fish (ex Subhuman UK members) with Tilt and one of the first show’s of Rancid (ex Operation Ivy members sans Lint) playing at Your Place Too 5319 MLK in Oakland on Wednesday May 12th. Amazing show with amazing bands and I begged Dick from Citizen Fish to play the Subhuman’s song “Word Factory” from their Time Flies but Airplanes Crash LP which towards the end of their set they launched into it. Great show, and a snapshot in time for The East Bay Punk Rock scene when 924 Gilman st was shuttered, Green Day ditched Lookout Records on toward conquering the world and Rancid’s first album was just about to drop sending MattFreeman and the gang to the level Op Ivy would have had they not broken up.
