The calf area stretches past what the buckle accents can accommodate. With the current buckle length, the calf up to 15" in circumference.
If you have a leather pro, you can take these boots to to extend the leather on the strap of the buckle, these can fit a wider calf. (The strap/tongue is the flexible component that the catch is integrated into or attached to, connecting the two sides of the boot opening.)
