Authentic, hand painted vintage HB Henriot Quimper fish shaped platter from Brittany France. This piece features the iconic "Breton Woman" motif, dressed in a traditional 19th century regional costume includig a tall lace coiffe (headdress) and a colorful striped skirt.
The central figures is shown in a pastoral setting with a florwer, surrounded by a vibrant "traditional" Floral and sponge painted border.
Unique shape - the plate is olded into a styliszed fish form measuring approximately 10" wide with a 3D eye and tail detail.
The back is fully signed wit h the "HB Henriot Quimper France" mark. It includes the specific form F.360 the decor name D. Tradition and the arti'sts monogram.
