Jorge Wilmot Tonalá Pottery Bottle Vase Signed Bird Motif Square Form

Handmade Tonalá bottle vase attributed to Jorge Wilmot. Square-form stoneware body with a flared neck and applied crackle-glaze panels. The front features a stylized bird motif, a known Wilmot theme, and the sides display his characteristic grid-and-floral block pattern. Signature mark “W" with clustered dots matches documented Wilmot marks from the 1960s–1970s.

High-fire glaze with intentional crackling, speckling, and edge variation typical of Wilmot’s studio production during his transitional period when he blended Mexican folk imagery with Japanese and modernist influences.

Base is unglazed with natural kiln marks. No chips or structural cracks noted. Displays well as a collector piece or sculptural ceramic vessel.
