From my Grandfather's toolbox, this is a set of (2) Beautiful Antique Open-End Wrenches made by J.H. Williams & Co. (a forerunner of Snap-On Tools) in the early 20th Century.
The smaller wrench is stamped "27" on the jaw. It is marked 3/8" and 5/16". The stamped logo is an older version used prior to 1919.
The larger wrench is stamped "29" on the handle. The logo stamped on it is the "ribbon" version, first used in 1924. The sizes are marked with "USS". The "USS" nomenclature was not used after 1927. This wrench is from 1924-1927.
Both are in Good to Excellent vintage condition. Some stains from grease/oil. There is a bit of wear, but it is extremely slight on both pieces. There are (3) small round marks (made with a small punch tool) to either side and below the logo on the smaller wrench.
These are quite finely crafted tools, lightweight and easy to handle. These pieces display magnificent craftsmanship, and both are prizes for the collector!
