Gorgeous vintage ‘80s teal collarless blazer by Personal, which was a division of historic womenswear line Leslie Fay.
The jacket’s velvet, made in West Germany, is Niedieck velvet, and is crease resistant, water repellent, and features an easy care finish. In the ‘60s and ‘70s, Niedieck velvets were world-famous and used by the likes of Nina Ricci, Chanel and Dior, and often used in pieces designed for British royalty! This type of velvet is still often sought after by vintage collectors and sewers because of its exceptional quality.
Measures 18 1/2 inches underarm to underarm, 13 3/4 inches underarm to bottom hem, sleeves measure 23 1/2 inches. The size tag is a 10; it fits like a modern U.S. Women’s Small.
