First Edition / Fourth Printing (stated) - Published by Random House in 1957

Ayn's Rand's masterpiece novel. This copy is in fair vintage condition. The dustjacket is missing.
The front/back covers have a lot of shelf wear (staining is present on both covers). The spine is warped, and its cracked opposite title page (see last photo). There is a stamp from a previous owner on the first page (see next to last photo), and the inside cover (and that intial page) is very dirty.
The pages inside are clean and intact (no tears, writing, highlighting, etc).

This is a good copy to sit on a shelf...not really for reading.

Ayn Rand's works have been incredibly influential. Her novels include: The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, We The Living, and Anthem. Her objectivism philosophy has made her works incredibly well read.
This is an early printing of the 1st edition of her masterpiece, and it would be a valued addition to the collection of a fan.
