Original vintage mens 3 piece tweed country suit with waistcoat c. 1930s

I believe this is a custom made vintage suit c. 1930s which has been altered historically to accommodate the original owner! Button fly and suspender buttons to pleat front trousers with turn ups. **Please note, collarless shirt is Edwardian to 20s, stained and has no buttons/studs so wasn’t including in the listing - but can include if you ask** Waistcoat and trousers have both been taken out, Can’t see any obvious alts to jacket - perhaps original owner just didn’t wear it much - or fasten it Have a feeling adjusted with later striped lining and enlargements post-war, due to materials used. The suit does show wear to jacket lining, and watermarks to the waistcoat lining but I can’t see any damage. It was dry cleaned after being worn to exhibit at Goodwood years back, and has been hanging in a wardrobe ever since. It’s quite a coarse Harris type tweed, and the trousers are unlined. Jacket Slim and slightly fitted line 3 button fastening and central vent. Two side pockets with flaps and one outer chest pocket. Single decorative button to cuffs Chest actual measurement is 42” so 40 with ease Narrows to 38 max at waistline Sleevehead to cuff 25 Nape to hem 30 and 1/2” Waistcoat Stained internally, needs stitch to rear centre seam otherwise structurally sound. Inserts to sides in contrasting windowpane check have been added to enlarge, pinstripe lining. Two flap pockets and one great pocket, adjusts with metal cinch buckle at rear. Currently 42” max (actual) across widest point of lower chest Fb nape to hem 19” Front nape to hem point 23” Trousers Adjusted to rear, single button po let to rear plus side pockets. Cotton pocket linings Double suspender buttons to rear and four to front (suspect hook fastening added at adjustment) 5 button fly, pleat front and turned up cuffs. Quite a narrow leg with a 16” total cuff circumference. Waist 36 Inseam 30 Outside leg approx 43” Rise 15
