Antique Royal Doulton stoneware tobacco jar with patent locking lid, registered no. 194168 (1892). Decorated in relief with grape vine and leaf motifs, with a cobalt blue glazed band. Base marked with impressed Royal Doulton lion and crown stamp, dating the piece to c1902–1922. Measures approx. 10cm tall and 12.3cm in diameter. Condition: lid has been repaired, and there is a crack to the rim of the pot. Still displays well and the patent locking mechanism is intact. A collectible piece of early 20th century Royal Doulton tobacciana.
