The 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD (Model A071) for Sony E-mount was born by incorporating the high-magnification zoom lens technology and know-how that Tamron has cultivated over the years. It achieves a bright F2.8 starting aperture, a world first* for a high-magnification zoom lens.

It also achieves high descriptive performance throughout the entire zoom range, from the wide-angle end of 28mm to the telephoto end of 200mm. While covering a wide range of focal lengths, it is lightweight and compact, with a length of 117mm and a weight of 575g.

It is highly convenient for everyday carry and for travel, where you want to reduce the burden of your luggage. This lens is also particular about its optical performance, and by using special LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lenses lavishly, various aberrations are significantly suppressed. This enables high-quality images even in the peripheral areas of the screen.

In addition, it has a close-focusing capability with a minimum focusing distance of 0.19m at the wide-angle end and 0.8m at the telephoto end. It also features a fast and precise stepping motor unit "RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive)" for AF drive.
