This book is in good vintage condition. The dust jacket has a great deal of shelfwear, but it's intact and untorn. The book itself is in good shape, but there is some warping in the binding (see photo taken from the top of the pages...photo prior to interior of spine)...it's a little bent upwards. The spine is cracked on the inside front cover (see photo). The pages inside are clean and intact.
This book is based off the 1977 animated film The Hobbit. It's a very large book, and it includes over 200 illustrations from the film. Despite the flaws, this would be an amazing addition to the collection of a fan of The Hobbit (the book or the 1977 film).
The Hobbit is the prelude to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It later became a trilogy of it's own (directed by Peter Jackson).
