U.S. Military Surplus
A mug used in U.S. military hospitals and other medical facilities.
Homer Laughlin, founded in 1871, manufactures and sells tableware for hotels, restaurants, diners, and other general use, and is also famous as a supplier of tableware to the military.
Although the company automated early on, this coffee cup is still thick and heavy.
The caduceus mark, the symbol of the medics, is an old type.
Based on the date code, it is believed to have been made during the Vietnam War era, in 1962.
While you may see the name of this major manufacturer relatively often, this one has the "Best China⭐︎" marking.
It seems to have been attached to the high-spec line of Homer Laughlin products.
Height: 9cm, Diameter: 8.5cm
The bottom is also clean, and there are no stains, scratches, or chips from use, so it appears to be unused, but it has inevitably aged over time.
Please understand that this is a military surplus item.
Medic plates and other types of cups are also on sale.
