Exquisite large lacework tablecloth (or bed cover) measures 96” x 110.” Color is off-white, or eggshell.
Very rare piece. This would have taken a single artisan over a year to complete. Tatting requires tiny knots made around picots, pulled through with a tiny shuttle, and for lacework this size, would have required tens of thousands of feet of thread. There is also some crochet in the motifs (Cro-Tat). Will be a treasured family heirloom for generations. Would also be suitable for a luxury wedding, a dignitary dinner, catering business or a large special occasion banquet. Extra protection recommended - such as an equally-sized plastic cover to prevent soiling.
