This is the LEGO Technic 8865 Test Car, released in 1988.
It includes the original box and instruction manual. I disassembled it and reassembled it, and all the pieces are present.
I bought this for my sons when it was released, and they assembled it. It has been stored at home since then, so there is some damage to the box, creases and loose pages in the instruction manual, and some discoloration of the bricks. There were two broken pieces, but I used them as shown in the photos, and there were no particular problems.
There are nearly 900 pieces, making it perfect for a leisurely build during summer vacation.
The pieces will be sorted into zip-lock bags, wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped in a cardboard box.
