This is a vintage Dutch Masters "The Chieftain" brown amber glass tobacco jar or humidor. It was originally sold containing cigars or pipe tobacco, in the 1950s or 1960s. The jar is made of dark brown (amber) glass, which helps to keep light out and preserve the contents. It stands about 10 inches tall. The lid has a plastic plug to provide an airtight seal.
