Fully natural, beautifully colored display specimen of Auralite 23 / red cap hematite included amethyst from the Auralite mine of the Boreal Forest in Canada. A high quality and rare statement piece featuring vivid, jewel tone quartz var. Amethyst in a deep saturated purple and red, with a glow when backlit in shades of violet, lavender, golden pink, green, orange gold, red, royal purple, and yellow. These hues come from a mix of inclusions that can include Titanite, Cacoxenite, Lepidocrosite, Ajoite, Hematite, Magnetite, Pyrite, Geothite, Pyrolusite, Gold, Citrine, Prasiolite, Silver,, Nickel, Copper, Iron, Limonite, Shpalerite, Covellite, Chalcopyrite, Gilalite, Epidote, Bronite, and Rutile. The large crystal is double terminated with elestial/ skeletal form and have inclusions of red hematite, creating the red caps. The aesthetic, raw specimen measures approx 8 by 5 by 5.5 cm, weighs almost half a pound at 6.57 ounces.
