For your consideration is this lovely demitasse cup and saucer set produced by UCAGCO of Japan between 1945-1952. The bottom of each piece is marked "UCAGCO CHINA / (Maker's Mark) / MADE IN / OCCUPIED JAPAN". Adorning the pieces is a gorgeous hand painted moriage style bamboo painted in gold. The same gold finish lines the rim of the plate and cup, and also the cup's handle. The background is what appears to be airbrushed matte gray with an ombrè effect. The set is in good overall condition. I did notice a few tiny fleabite chips on the cup's rim. To be honest, I didn't notice them when I purchased the set. I only noticed when looking closely under my desk lights. The cup measures 2.5 inches diameter x 3.1 inches long (cup rim to handle) x 2.1 inches tall. The saucer measures 4.8 inches in diameter. This is an absolute gorgeous set...one you don't want to pass over.
