Vintage Japanese porcelain covered bowl / lidded tureen, marked “Made in Japan”, dating to the mid-20th century (circa 1950s). This decorative piece features a Satsuma-style moriage design with raised enamel figural scenes.

The bowl and lid are richly hand-painted with pastoral scenes showing figures, trees, water, and landscape elements. The decoration includes raised enamel work and extensive gold gilt accents throughout the handles, rim, lid trim, and finial. The piece sits on a scalloped pedestal base and has two ornate side handles with a matching gilt lid handle.

Good vintage condition overall. Noticeable wear to gold gilt, particularly on handles, rim, and lid trim, consistent with age and prior display. No visible cracks or major chips noted.
