This is a "Orca Wave" mixed media lucite sculpture by artist Kitty Cantrell.
It features a mother orca and her young calf swimming together in an oncoming wave.
The orcas are crafted in mixed metals including pewter, brass, copper, and 24k gold vermeil and finished with a hot patina coloring technique. The metal sculpture is then encased in a hand-carved piece of clear Lucite to evoke the ocean's power.
Size 6.5 L X 2 D X 4.5 H. Good condition, very minor sirface wear on the bottom.
