I collected lunchboxes throughout my teaching career as a way to connect with my students. I would switch them out every few days, and some of my middle school PE students would wait outside the gym doors, watching for me to walk across the quad at lunchtime so they could see which lunchbox I had chosen that day.
When I acquired this beauty, I decided it was too special to use and kept it displayed in my office. As a kid, I lived for episodes of the show, so this one has always meant a lot to me.
I’m no longer teaching middle school PE, and my lunchboxes have been packed away for some time. While reorganizing, I found my collection again and realized a box in the attic is no place for something this wonderful—so here it is.
This lunchbox has never been used, only displayed and then stored. The original tag eventually fell off but is still in great
