First edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Secret History by Donna Tartt (Alfred A. Knopf, 1992). Increasingly scarce and collectible true first edition. Tartt’s debut novel, who later went on to write The Goldfinch and other award winning works of fiction.
Clear acetate jacket moderately scuffed and cloudy, especially around the edges. Large slice to front of dj. Bottom right corner of dj has missing piece, appears to have melted. Board corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Foxing other mild soiling to outer edges of text block. Stain to bottom edge of front pastedown endpaper. Previous owner’s inscription on front free endpaper.
