For your consideration is this vintage (or possibly antique) hand painted beer stein produced by Gerz in Germany. It is marked with an impressed lidded stein inside a triangle, impressed "Made in Germany" and gilded "handgemalt 18" on the base. Comps show this particular stein was lidded and attached to a leg of the piece. I believe there was originally one for this as there is a small flea bite nip on that particular leg. The top and bottom rims are both done in a peach lusterware finish. There are several fleabite nips on the fox's body, but these could be easily touched up if desired. They are only really noticeable upon close examination. I really love the boar hunt motif formed and hand painted all around the stein. It measures 7.4 inches tall by 5.7 inches wide (cup handle), 3.5 inches diameter at the base and 2.7 inches diameter at the top rim. This is an October Fest Must
