Beswick Pottery Beatrix Potter Jeremy Fisher Figurine

Originally approached by Beatrix Potter herself, John Beswick Pottery began producing figurines of her classic characters in 1940. Sculpted to be meticulously faithful to her illustrations, each was hand painted with details that brought the pages to life.
Mr. Jeremy Fisher the frog as he embarks on his disastrous fishing trip in 1907’s The Tale of Jeremy Fisher. This first version, second variation with larger spots and leg stripes, was modeled by Arthur Gredington and produced 1950-2002. Approx. 3” tall. BP-3A backstamp. Made in England. No condition issues.
